Celtic lore signifies ravens,which are usually in threes, were the companions of the war god, Lug. They also were used in battlefieldsto collect the spirits of dead warriors and bring them to the underworld. Odin, who is referred to as the “Raven God” had two ravens as companions- Huginn which means thought and Muninn which means memory or mind.
